Meet the Team at 2nd St. Ives
We are extremely fortunate to be supported by a fantastic group of Adult Volunteers who each bring a unique set of skills to the Group.
The Group is led by the Group Scout Leader, whose job is to co-ordinate the Group’s activities and to ensure continuity and development. The Group Management is run by the Group Chairperson who leads the Group Executive Committee to ensure successful governance of the Group.

Group Scout Leader - Rob Taylor
From the heart of the Ship, Rob makes sure that the furnaces are properly fed enabling the group to always go ‘full steam ahead’.
When popping his head above deck he ensures that everyone is on the same heading, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders, Occasional Helpers, Parents and Trustees.
The role of a GSL is as demanding as it is rewarding.

Akela
Cub Leader - Harvey Ferries
Akela was Born into Scouting with all his family being in and still in Scouting.
Akela was a Cub a Scout and a Venture Scout (and yes like to tell his stories of his scout adventures) also being a Holder of the Queen Scout Award and Gold Duke of Edingborough.
As Akela is Leader in Charge, he is our serious Leader when it comes to our Ceremony and Traditions but loves have Fun once out on the water or at Camp.
If you asked Akela what’s best part of Cub’s, it would be Adventure fun filled Camps.
Akela takes his scouting values into his everyday life Trust/Team Work/Loyalty and to do our Best.
