Are there 'Taster Sessions?'
As all sections of the group are currently full, we do not offer taster sessions. When your child is offered a place, there will be an opportunity for them to come along and join in for a couple of weeks before you make a commitment to joining.
Is Scouting inclusive?
Yes. Every Young Person is the same….Unique! We’re always working to make Scouting more inclusive, providing our Young Members with key Life Skills.
How soon can I add my child to the Waiting list?
It’s never too early to get your child name onto one of our waiting lists. Should your child exceed the age of the waiting list they have joined, they will automatically be moved onto the the next sections.
What are the your main activities?
There are no specific activities which we would define as a main activity; Scouting provides the opportunity for children to experience a variety of activities. As a Sea Scout group, we focus on water based activities during the summer months and revert back to more traditional activities during the rest of the year.
How much does it cost?
Subscriptions to the Group are currently £15.00 per month. Once you have committed to joining the group, a starter Pack will need to be purchased which includes the essential items of uniform and activity clothing your child will require; depending on the section your child joins these range from £50 to £75.
